I missed my calling. I should have been a historian. I love prowling through the archives looking for golden nuggets. Like this one in the Daily Gleaner on June 12, 1956: Apparently, Premier Higgs isn’t the only Premier to target one million residents. Problem is that Hugh John was promising a million by 1976 but only if PC economic development policies were carried out! “A large-scale increase in population is New Brunswick’s greatest need.” Wow. Talk about deja vu.
Will Hugh John's prediction finally come true?
