I received an email this week indicating Larry was stepping down as CEO of Ignite Fredericton and the Knowledge Park. It’s a bit disappointing as to me Larry was a kind of local economic developer that is on the endangered species list. Larry was a fighter. I’m not saying he was belligerent or cantankerous as a general rule but he was a guy that would fight (maybe a more palatable word these days - advocate) for his community and the projects he believed in.
When I think of the start-up community in Fredericton and it's influence around NB, I think of Larry. If I want an honest opinion, I think of Larry. He might make a great politician if people could only handle the truth.
I had the pleasure of meeting Larry when I worked for the Village of Chipman in 2021. As someone who has suffered the wrath of fighting the "good fight" on more than one occasion, I found him refreshingly direct. May Larry continue to contribute to the economic well-being of New Brunswick in his own forthright way.

Larry is definitely a keeper. We go back to the good old days of NBTel in the 80s. He’s done a lot for Ignite and KP. Well done!
